Printer Selection an Online Experience

Now I love online shopping, it rocks my world, it is shopping stripped down to its bare bones, right down to its essentials. You don't need to wander around a store looking for something and you dont need to encounter crowds, queues nor over eager sales people. A well designed website should have all the advantages, all the plus points of a shopping experience with none of the drawbacks.

There are further enhancements made by some online retailers which would be nigh on impossible to replicate in store; "if you like this you may also be interested in", "customers who purchased this also bought" , "bestsellers" and "detailed product technical comparisons", to name a few of my favourites.

I was extremely please to find a new and extremely useable method or streamlining my search for a Colour Laser Printer at Printer Finder. This is what the web is all about.

Rather than being confused, oversold or patronised by a salesperson I was able to narrow down my search criteria quite simply and quickly by virtue of a database driven filter system designed to help you find the perfect printer for your needs.

I am no expert when it comes to printers but this was like being led by the hand by a helpful guide to my destination. My path was like this : I selected laser printers and a second later my list was narrowed down to 499 possibilities; my second choice was colour which narrowed it down to 239 printers; I intend to print a lot out so selecting the enviable printer speed of 30 pages a minute further refined my selection to a list of 81. I still was not ready to browse the results so I went for options under £200. I was presented now with a choice of 2. I went for the Lexmark C500n, clicked "buy now" and now await delivery....
